The South West Inclusive Pharmacy Practice (IPP) Group exists to support the practical implementation of the Joint National Plan for Inclusive Pharmacy Practice across the region. It aims to promote inclusive, culturally competent pharmacy practice that improves workforce experience, addresses health inequalities, and contributes to equitable patient outcomes.

NHS England South West WT&E Supporting Learners throughout Ramadan Podcast
Membership of the SW Pharmacy Education and Training Leads Network group will consist of pharmacy education and workforce leads across the acute, mental health, and community Trusts, and ICB workforce teams in the Southwest, responsible for the education and training of the pharmacist, pharmacy technician and pharmacy support staff workforce.
The SW Pharmacy Education and Training Leads Network group will report into the SPMs Education Working Group, which is chaired by Paul Foster, Director of Pharmacy at South Devon NHS Trust.
The network will meet virtually via MS Teams, with this password protected area on the PWDS website where group members will have access to meeting agendas, notes and any relevant presentations/documents.
The network provides an exciting opportunity for pharmacy education and training leads to come together, with PWDS and HEE colleagues, to discuss and develop plans and strategies for a range of workforce and training challenges and opportunities, that could include, for example:
Agendas will be driven by priorities and may require the network to work in different task and finish groups dependant on workstreams.

This network group comprises of clinical pharmacy managers from mainly acute healthcare settings across the South West. The group meets online/face to face four times a year to discuss local/national medicine issues, practice related challenges and education/training. The group actively shares local developments and service enhancements from within their own setting to inform/support other network members. Meetings often feature an expert/invited speaker to present on a topic of relevance to the group.
