PWDS Homecare Training Programme – New Format Programme Now Available!

Homecare Training Programme Relaunch Delivers Greater Flexibility for Learners

The Homecare Prescription Verification and Clinical Validation Programme has been refreshed and relaunched, with a strong focus on flexibility, accessibility, and learner experience.

Following a review after feedback from learners and educational supervisors, the updated programme is now hosted on the virtual learning platform Moodle, giving learners instant access to materials and the freedom to progress at their own pace. In a significant change, the mandatory induction event has been replaced, allowing participants to enrol and start training at a time that suits them.

To support connection and collaboration, a new online Practice Development Day will take place during the programme. This interactive session offers learners the chance to engage with peers, share experiences, and reflect on their progress while building their evidence.

All resources are now fully digital, with seamless access to Moodle and the VQ Manager e-portfolio system, creating a streamlined, user-friendly learning environment.

These changes are designed to create a more flexible, engaging, and learner-focused experience. We thank colleagues for their patience and look forward to welcoming learners onto the updated programme.
