Programme Introduction

This programme is designed to enable pharmacy technicians to provide a high standard of complex, enhanced care for patients by developing and applying enhanced levels of clinical judgement, skills, and knowledge. It supports pharmacy technicians in expanding their clinical practice, enabling them to work with greater autonomy and accountability within multidisciplinary teams. Through structured learning and workplace-based development and assessment, learners will build confidence in delivering person-centred, evidence-based care, contributing proactively to medicines optimisation, clinical decision-making, and improved patient outcomes across a range of healthcare settings.
