Programme Introduction

The PWDS Neurodiversity Workforce awareness training is an impactful, multi-professional programme designed to build awareness and understanding around neurodivergence in the workplace and helping all to create neuro-inclusive environments.

The lead for the programme is a self-identified neurodivergent individual with lived experience who has Distinction Level 3 certificate in neurodiversity and inclusion. The training also aligns with:

  • City and Guilds recommendations from their Neurodiversity Index Report 2024
  • Safe Learning Environment Charter
  • Guild of Healthcare Pharmacists Inclusivity Checklist
  • South West Inclusive Pharmacy Practice

Entry Criteria

The following prerequistes must be met before application

The training programme is open to all healthcare professions and roles.

 

Programme Features

Programme consists of two tiers.

Tier 1: 7 e-learning modules which cover introduction to neurodiversity, autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, communication and overwhelm.

Tier 2: A 3 hour online workshop on creating neuro-inclusive environments.

The programme gives you access to our virtual learning environment, this provides further details about the structure and contents of the programme and assessment processes.

Step One

Programme Application

If you work in a healthcare setting that is not a hospital, payment can be made via invoice. In order to complete your application you will need: *Name of the person responsible for payment *Full invoice address including postcode *Your line manager details including email.

If you work for a hospital trust in order to complete your application you will need: * A Purchase Order (PO) Number and digital copy of the FULL PO document, including invoicing details to upload (you can find details about POs in the frequently asked questions section of the programme page) * Your line manager details including email address.

Step Two

Apply for the 3 hour online workshop

Once you have been registered onto the programme you will be able to apply for the next available 3 hour online workshop.
