Programme Introduction

The Technical Services Update Days have been developed in collaboration with the Regional Quality Assurance team to provide expert and timely training for appropriate personnel working in Aseptic Units.

These update days will cover a range of Technical Services topics and serve as a platform for learning, networking and exchanging of ideas.

The following prerequistes must be met before application

Technical Services Update days are open to all appropriate personnel working in Aseptic Units

In order to determine whether this appropriate for you please speak with your supervisor or Accountable Pharmacist

Programme Description

The Technical Services Update days aim to:

  • Provide personnel working within aseptic services with the skills and knowledge to be able to confidently and competently undertake their role, to ensure patient safety and product quality
  • Encourage best practice
  • Develop aseptic services personnel in areas of continuing professional practice and accountability within pharmacy services
  • Encourage the further development of personnel in Quality Assurance and GMP
  • Support appropriate skill-mix within pharmacy departments
  • Reduce overall error rates
  • Provide updates on current practice in aseptic services
